By accessing and using the Crag Buddies platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our platform.

2. Service Description

Crag Buddies is a community platform for climbers worldwide, which allows:

• Finding and connecting with other climbers (buddies)
• Creating and participating in climbing sessions
• Organizing and participating in climbing trips
• Discovering and sharing information about climbing spots
• Sharing experiences through posts and messages

3. Registration and User Account

To use most features of Crag Buddies, you need to create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Be at least 16 years old, or have parental/legal guardian consent to use the platform
• Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your password
• Be responsible for all activities that occur in your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or that are inactive for an extended period.

4. Code of Conduct and Ethics

Crag Buddies promotes a community based on values of respect, safety, and ethics. We will always strive to promote training, good social and human practices, both in climbing and beyond. When using the platform, you agree to:

• Respect all community members
• Not post offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content
• Not spam or post unauthorized advertising
• Not share false information about spots or climbing conditions
• Respect the privacy of other users
• Not use the platform for illegal purposes
• Follow good environmental ethics practices at climbing spots
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all climbers
• Report inappropriate behavior or actions that go against community values

Crag Buddies actively moderates content posted on the platform. We ask that you inform us of any bad practices or user behavior that does not align with what our community stands for, so we can take appropriate action.

5. Liability and Risks

Climbing is a risky sport that can result in serious injury or death.

Crag Buddies is only a connection platform between climbers. By participating in sessions or trips organized through the platform:

• You acknowledge the inherent risks of climbing
• You assume full responsibility for your safety and decisions
• You understand that Crag Buddies does not guarantee the safety of any activity
• You release Crag Buddies from any liability for accidents or incidents
• You commit to checking conditions and your capability before any activity

6. User Content

By posting content on Crag Buddies (photos, texts, spot information, etc.):

• You guarantee that you have the right to share that content
• You grant Crag Buddies a non-exclusive license to display and distribute the content on the platform
• You retain intellectual property of your original content
• You accept that we may remove content that violates these terms

7. Spot Information

Spot information is contributed by the community. Crag Buddies:

• Does not guarantee the accuracy or currency of information
• Does not assume responsibility for errors in descriptions, difficulty levels, or conditions
• Encourages users to always verify conditions on-site
• Reserves the right to moderate and edit spot information

8. Intellectual Property

The Crag Buddies brand, logos, design, and platform code are property of Crag Buddies. Reproduction, modification, or distribution without express authorization is prohibited.

9. Privacy

The use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms of Service.Privacy Policy

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through the platform and will take effect upon publication. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time through your profile settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

12. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts in Portugal.
